Friday, 29th May 2009 (1209 views) The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) has urged companies operating in the nanotechnology sector to promote their work to a European audience.NanoKTN is set to showcase its research at two events taking place in Europe next month and the body has called on firms working in the industry to do the same. It is to exhibit its work at the EuroNanoForum in Prague on June 2nd to 5th and the NanoMaterials Conference in Bonn, which takes place on June 16th to18th. Alec Reader, director of NanoKTN, explained that both conferences are of "great importance" to the area of nanotechnology research, in which gold is often a vital component. "Both the events will be a valuable opportunity to promote the work of the NanoKTN to an international market," he stated. According to a recent study by research firm NCOS, the nanotechnology sector could be worth as much as $30 billion (£18 billion) by 2013.
