Thursday, 26th February 2009 (1456 views) The NanoBusiness Alliance is to hold its annual Public Policy Tour in Washington next month, it has been announced.Approximately 75 industry executives from the sector will convene in the US capital on March 17th-19th to discuss regulation of the industry - in which gold is often used in areas such as manufacturing and medicinal research - with government officials. Talks regarding access to venture capital and other issues that will affect the financial performance of nanotechnology companies will take place between the body and members of congress, who will also be shown recent industry developments and new products. "This is a pivotal time for nanotechnology in our nation's capital," executive chairman of the NanoBusiness Alliance Sean Murdock explained, noting that it is "imperative" that the National Nanotechnology Initiative Amendments Act of 2009, which was recently passed by the House, is signed by the president. In related news, it was announced earlier this week that Prague is to be the host for this year's EuroNano Forum, which will take place in May.
